Details
These cabinets are manufactured using Lloyds approved composites including UV resistant gelcoats to provide long lasting protection in even the harshest environments. This is backed up with an excellent IP rating of 56. It has both Lloyds and ABS approvals.
The cabinet is fitted on the platform at the back of the offshore wind turbine nacelle and stores immersion suits and emergency descent devices.
The design ensures a high level of rigidity for the relatively low weight with a very effective EPDM seal around the door aperture. The three way locking (with security tag facility)and the hinges, nuts, bolts and washers are all manufactured in 316 stainless steel for excellent corrosion resistance.
The door can be specified with left or right hinging and the 316 stainless steel handle is easy to operate in an emergency even when wearing gloves.
