The JB76 is used to store foam filled lifejackets on Cruise ships and Ferries. The exact quantity depends on the type being stored. It is fitted with a drop down door so in an emergency the release cord is pulled and the lifejackets fall onto the deck below. This ensures they can quickly be issued to the passengers. It can be mounted to a deck above or to a bulkhead behind. It is complete with two doors on the front for loading the lifejackets.
They are manufactured using Lloyds approved composites including UV resistant gelcoats to provide long lasting protection in even the harshest environments. This is backed up with an excellent IP rating of 56. It has both Lloyds and ABS approvals.
The design ensures a high level of rigidity for the relatively low weight with a very effective EPDM seal around the door apertures. The 316 Stainless steel 3 way locking system, hinges and lid catches are secured with 316 stainless steel nuts, bolts and washers.
